In February 2018, my friend Brandalyn and I left Malawi and went on a short 2-week trip to Thailand. Brandalyn actually already had plans to be on that side of the world - in South Korea for the Winter Olympics - and managed to convince me to meet her in Bangkok for a much needed vacation. After finding a very reasonably priced ticket and doing a bit of research for our itinerary I hopped on a plane from Lilongwe --> Nampula --> Nairobi --> Muscat --> Bangkok! Brandalyn landed a few hours later and we officially began our Tour of Thailand.
