Last night was our last night in Bursa, but it was a great night. We were all able to spend it together at one of the long term missionary's apartment. All of the staff, stinters, and then everyone who was on the vision trip I was on. We all got together, ate yummy food, reflected about our trip, and prayed for the paths that the Lord has for each of us.

While at the apartment we were also able to learn some history about the country we were in. Bursa was the original capital of the Ottoman Empire, which controlled parts of Northern Africa to Southern Europe into parts of Asia. In the early 1900's Christianity was wiped out, that is until 1970 when the first two Christians were recorded. Slowly since then more and more people have become followers of Jesus. Then in 2007, three missionaries were captured, tortured, and killed in the country we are in right now. They were killed for being Christian. For sharing the Gospel. For following Jesus.

"The blood of martyrs is the sea of the church."

The wife of one of the men killed then did something that no one would have ever expected. No one except Jesus. This woman said on national news that she had forgiven the murderer of her husband, because Jesus died to forgive all of our sins. Wow. When I first heard this chills went through my entire body. This woman had strength. She had courage. This woman was a follower of Jesus and was filled with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is calling us to share the good news. God is calling His children to share the Gospel. In this country. In the 10-40 zone. In the United States. There are unreached people everywhere. When we see clouds we pray for rain. But will we be ready? Will we be ready for the storm? God will prepare people to hear His word. But are we prepared to tell it? The hope is that we will one day be rumors in this country and that missionaries from other places will not be needed because the citizens will be the ones spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. But until then we need to be the light of Jesus to all. God is calling us. Be His Light.

For Scripture relating to this passage read Ezekiel 37:1-10, 2 Kings 4:1-7, and Psalms 67
