Today we had our first group meeting with all the students from La Crosse that are going on our trip to 4th Journey. Wow. God has inspired an amazing group of individuals to go spread the word of the Gospel. There are 11 students traveling to the Middle East from Uw-La Crosse and then 6-7 from Eau Claire that I have yet to meet. I am so excited to get to know all of these lovely people and am so happy that God has blessed me with new friends. With meeting some of them only once, and talking to others for only an hour I can already tell that they are going to strengthen my relationship with the Lord even more than it is now. During our meeting we listened to each others raising support stories, we expressed worries to each other, we prayed together, and we learned a little about the culture of where we will be staying for 7 days. I am very eager to get on that 15 hour plane ride, and be there now haha. Only a few more weeks, getting through finals, Chritmas, TCX Conference, and I will be on my way! Could not be more ready :) Yet I am also nervous. Going to a country where Christians aren't exactly liked to spread teh hope of God, is a bit out of my comfort zone. So I am asking for prayers. Pray for safe travels to the Middle East. Pray for the hearts of the students we meet and that God may break down their walls and fill them with hope. Pray for the lives of us to be changed and for our relationships with God to grow stronger. This trip has been on my heart since I was given the opportunity in October at Fall Retreat with Cru, and I definitely feel called by God to journey to a new place to share His story.
